Governor Recognizes Project Independence for Excellence |

Governor James Douglas presented Project Independence with the Governor's Program Champion on Healthy Aging for 2010 Award at a special ceremony at the State House Pavilion on October 12, 2010.
 The award was developed by the Governor's Commission on Healthy Aging and is given to recognize individuals and organizations which demonstrate and promote healthy aging in the areas of physical activity, learning, community involvement and intergenerational relationships.
